Composer Jae-Moon Lee’s orchestral and chamber works have been performed in major cities around the world, including London, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, Bratislava, Vienna, New York, and Seoul. His orchestral piece Seven Days / Stained Glass / Mirror, composed during his university years, achieved first place as the first Asian winner of the Queen Sofia International Composition Prize in Spain. The work premiered with the Spanish Radio Symphony Orchestra and has since been re-performed by ensembles such as the Mexico National Orchestra and the Gangnam Symphony Orchestra.

Jae-Moon’s chamber works have garnered significant recognition, winning first place in the Valentino Bucchi International Composition Competition in Rome and being selected for performances at the ISCM World New Music Days in 2013, 2015 and 2022. Jae-Moon Lee also presented his chamber music at the British Museum in London and was chosen for the London Symphony Orchestra’s Panufnik Young Composer Program, where his orchestral work was performed.

As a Britten-Pears Young Artist, Jae-Moon showcased his works at the Aldeburgh Music Festival. Additionally, he held a solo recital at the World Event Young Artists Festival in Nottingham.

Jae-Moon Lee pursued his studies in composition at the University of Cambridge, where he earned a Ph.D. in Composition, marking the first time in the university's history that a doctorate in composition was awarded. He also obtained an MMus from the Royal Northern College of Music and a PgDip from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Prior to his studies in the UK, he completed his bachelor's degree in composition at Chung-Ang University in Korea. Currently, he serves as an associate professor and dean of music department at Chung-Ang University.
